Our Story

The Himalayas are not just landscapes.They are villages, homes, farms, forests, rivers, traditions, food, stories and people who have lived in these mountains for generations.Yet many travelers experience the Himalayas only through conventional hotels, crowded tourist destinations and short visits.We wanted to create a different kind of travel experience.

Mountain Firefly brings travelers closer to local life through carefully selected home stays, farm stays, rural locations and experiences that allow them to discover the mountains beyond the usual tourist routes.Whether you are looking for a peaceful long stay, a rural escape, an adventure, a staycation, a family holiday or simply a chance to disconnect from everyday life, we want to help you find a place and experience that feels meaningful.

Our primary area of operation, with destinations ranging from popular mountain towns to quieter valleys, villages and rural communities.

A region of forests, mountains, villages, spiritual destinations and diverse outdoor experiences.

Kashmir

A unique Himalayan region with its own landscapes, culture, traditions and communities.
